mr. blue sky



This is really just for Zach, because he missed the show. This is such a weird cover but it was amazing live. I am so glad Mayer Hawthorne is getting such amazing press right now. Also, I think he's got something in the works with Snoop Dogg...I guess we'll see what he's got up his sleeve soon enough.

    Ha, Ryan and I were talking about how awesome this song is last night. I'd been super reluctent to listen to ELO until I heard this song in an episode of Dr Who and then learned it was ELO.

    I always liked that stupid song...I don't even know what it's called...Telephone Line? Anyway, that song is so dorky but I always loved it. Anyway, Mr. Blue Sky is great and I'm glad I got to see MH cover it. He does some really weird covers. I mean, other than some really cool soul covers, there's one floating around on YouTube of him doing 'Paper Planes' and it's just suuuuper cheesey and hilarious. Also, he did a really great set on World Cafe (I think) last week. Really great, except for the fact that I am pretty sure Bob Boylan is getting senile and is starting to annoy me a little bit with his blathering. Ergh.

    Also, I never really got into World Cafe thanks to Bob Boylan.
